How we came to be here started when I took numerous trips abroad and came to appreciate the elegant European styles. During those summer trips I began staying in the most wonderful Manor House B&B's. As an Interior Designer and lover of antiques I began planning my own B&B, but it had to be very special.

Over a period of 5 years I was carefully collecting and shipping dishes, tea pots, paintings and furnishings from Ireland. During this same period I was looking for just the right property to renovate and create an amazing European style manor house.

The moment I saw the location of this property I knew with a lot of work I could create what I envisioned. I knew that friends, family and guests would feel like they were in Switzerland. As you will see my goal was accomplished right down to the English garden in front of the Bed and Breakfast.

Within the B&B upstairs there are four (4) very large en-suite guest rooms each with unique furnishings and art work. Each suite has a private bath, sitting area, flat screen TV and DVD/VCR. Two (2) of the suites have beautiful mantles and stain glass from England. There are a total of seventeen (17) stain glass windows and two (2) stain glass double doors on the property.

Also upstairs there are two (2) separate and distinct large living rooms. One is very formal with an impressive stone fireplace that was converted to gas logs but could easily be returned to a wood burning fireplace. The other living room has a more French country flare and two (2) walls of windows in which one can observe the mountains. All windows are Anderson windows. Off the French country room is a closet with a hospitality fridge which is kept replenished for guests. Also, there is a closet with over fifty (50) Victorian style uniforms sizes (2-20) for teas and special dinner parties. It makes for great conversation and creates wonderful memories. The dining room seats (30-35) comfortably. The tables were picked especially for the room along with all the crystal accessories. The dining room is an absolutely sparkling masterpiece by candlelight during dinner parties.

As you enter the B&B you find yourself in a 14x14 elegant sunroom. Once inside you are surrounded by windows over looking the beautiful garden. There are is a darling gas log fireplace and cozy seating area for reading or just relaxing. This is a very impressive entry to this magnificent home. You then continue by going through a double stain glass door into the entry foyer. This foyer is two stories in height with an open staircase, large chandelier and dumb waiter elevator. No reason to carry luggage upstairs. As you can observe on the enclosed DVD every room is very large and so many different places for groups to gather. Corporate get-a-ways and other type meetings you will find breaking into separate groups is easily accomplished.

When we say furnished we mean it right down to the spices. To include, but not limited to enough Ralph Lauren toiletries for approximately a year.

There is a 27ft x 20ft country cabin on the side of the Manor. The center height of this cabin is approximately 18 feet. The interior having 2x6 inch walls 10ft in height. This wonderful cabin has a metal roof, antique windows out of an old schoolhouse, and a wrap-around covered porch. This is a fun place to watch wildlife and/or grilling. Inside the cabin are two (2) lofts used for storage. At the present time the cabin is storage for Christmas trees and decorations and other seasonal decorations, i.e. Fall, Easter, etc. Also, there are extra dinner ware serving pieces, aprons, table cloths, chairs, etc.

This cabin would make a great antique shop, studio, home office or game room. Additionally, a county health department official stated the cabin could easily be converted into a rental accommodation/lodging or guesthouse.

The contents of the cabin go with the Manor. There is an extensive collection of holiday decorations. One holiday at Moonlight Manor you will experience something truly remarkable. It really is a special place and everyone loves it.

Lets go outside. Sold with the property and included in the price is a Kawasaki 4x4 diesel Mule. The Mule has very low hours, has a 3000lb wench and hydraulic dump. The Mule is a 4 passengers off road vehicle, easy to drive and fun for all ages. There is also an X-Mark zero turn mower and all the lawn equipment to maintain the property.

The property consists of approximately three (3) acres having stoned pillars and wall as you enter onto the property. There is a mountain creek flowing year long. Property contains a good size trout pond, stone fire ring, 1956 Willys pick-up truck which was converted to a flower bed. The flower bed contains black-eyed susans and are in full bloom in the Fall. There are numerous springs on the property and one in particular produces approximately 13,000 gallons of true mountain spring water. We have considered developing this spring water source commercially. The property borders the National Forest and the National Wilderness.

It’s not unusual to observe black bears, fox, ducks, turkey, deer and other wildlife. It’s always nice to observe the horses out front in the pasture.

So whether your dream is to own and operate a Bed and Breakfast, Tea room, restaurant, have weddings, rehearsal dinners and other special events this is the place. If you’re more inclined for corporate retreats, retreat home in the North Georgia mountains or elegant mountain home for friend and family this is also the place. Moonlight Manor is the special and ideal place to have it all.

Life has its rhythms, as the ebb and flow of the tide, so we learn to labor and wait giving time a chance to work its miracles. This absolutely beautiful Manor could be your miracle.
